Pillowcase Dress-Take 1

My daughter had a party over the weekend, and I made this pillowcase dress for her. It's not your typical pillowcase dress. I did some shirring and put sleeves on the dress rather than the normal gathering with the ribbon. I also embroidered her sleeves and hem.It was raining before I could get some photos outside.

Poodle Skirt

Last weekend I went to a 50s themed Entertaining at Home party (For those wanting more information about Entertaining at Home, please click the link in the lower left column of the blog). I already had a poodle skirt, my mom had made it many years ago for me, but my daughter did not have one. And what are the odds of a seamstress having extra fabric and ribbons lying around? ^-^ Very high apparently, because this is what became of some of my stash...**I made the bow on the headband as well. I didn't like it at first (was my first time making a hair-bow like so), but it's grown on me. ^-^**
Here is a close up of the poodle. It is an applique patch made from scratch. Took about an hour to sew (it was my first time trying this out; turned out pretty cute if you ask me).

Tinkerbell

I was racking my brain (for no reason really) about all the projects I've done, and I totally forgot about the Tinkerbell costume I made a couple years ago. My twin wanted to be Tink for Halloween, and so I sewed the dress for her (she took care of the rest). All I did was alter a wedding dress pattern...and voila! It was a sleeveless dress so my sister put the shrug (is that what that would be called?) on to make it more modest (and warm...we were in Utah). Both of us ended up happy with the end result.
Such a cute Tinkerbell ^-^

Scrub Top

Firstly, I never knew how much fun it would be to make a scrub top. ^-^ As a Christmas present for my sister-in-law, my parents-in-law asked me to make a Realtree scrub top. The scrub was both easier and harder than I imagined (the pattern altering and fitting that is). But to get to the bottom line, I'm proud of it! And as an added bonus, my sister-in-law loves it too! She wore it the first day back to work, and I've been told there are many envious nurses. Thanks for the sewing opportunity!
My sister-in-law showin' off her awesome scrub. ^-^
