Etsy

I now have an Etsy store.  Feel free to visit.

Right now all I have are a few of my towels and C130s listed.  If you're interested in something and are local, LRAFB, AR, contact me before purchasing, I can make a special listing for you without shipping if you like.

Temple Dress

A couple in my ward was able to attend the temple at the beginning of the month and I got the wonderful opportunity to make their little girl a white dress for the occasion.

This is the best picture I got of the little girl in her dress.  She was cranky and tired, and thus didn't want pictures taken. :)

Halloween

Here is a costume I made for Halloween this year.   First, here's the inspiration...

And the results.
I wanted to make shoe coverings to be more accurate, but I ran out of time.  There are some other adjustments I wanted, but again, I started on it a bit late to be really picky.  Next year, start earlier (as long as life doesn't get in the way right? lol).

Some costume details:
The shirt was a re-purposed woman's t-shirt.
Pants were also re-purposed from a woman's pair of active wear pants.

Thanks!

Many of you saw me at the Wing Ding in Jacksonville last weekend.  It was an adventure. :)  Thank you to all who helped!

I also moved last weekend (really insane, I know ^-^) and am thankful for your patience (we finally got internet today! *yea cake*) I'll be posting more pictures by Monday of more towels and of what colors of C130s I have left (and quantities).

More Price Updates

Prices for the hooded towels are finally up! ^-^ I also finished my daughter's towel. I'll post pics of that and any other finished towels for the Wing Ding soon. I also decided to sell what C130s I have at the Wing Ding. There are only a handful.

Busy as a Bee

It's been a while. My family is happy and healthy again! I've got two things. First the good news. I signed up for a booth at the Jacksonville Wing Ding on 2 Oct! I'm both nervous and excited about this. I'll mainly be selling my hooded towels, so if you want to see them in person come on over! :) I'll have a few other samples of my work out, but I'll have some stock in the towels. I'll post pictures of at least one of the towels that will be for sale as a preview. :)
Now for the not so good news. I won't be selling C130s. They are adorable and super fun, but they take a lot of time to make. I will also be increasing the price for them (check the prices page for info). If all goes well, I'll try to have a stock for next year's Wing Ding. Although you may have a chance to win one . I'm still hashing out the details with my husband, but I may have one or two planes as prizes at the Wing Ding. Don't know yet. I've got more questions that need answering before we finalize that decision.

Family

If you're trying to get a hold of me for the next couple of days, please be patient. I have a sick family member. My life will be a bit upside down for a bit. Thank you for understanding.

C-130s

Introducing a new item! The stuffed C-130! ^-^
$25
Fabric does not have to be camouflage. I chose camouflage because that was the color they painted them for a bit when I was younger.

Hooded Towels

Between going camping, having a garage sale, and my family reunion* coming up next week (I'll be gone 29 June-9 July) I haven't gotten much time to post. But here's what I've been working on.
I made this hooded towel for a friend's baby shower. She is having a boy, and her nursery is blue with frogs.I embroidered (with one of my two fonts on my machine) the baby's name on the hood of the towel. All my future towels are going to have the pleats facing the other way. I wanted to applique some cattails on there, but I ran out of time and energy after camping with the teen girls in my church. The frog and letter are both home made appliquesTrying to finish, my husband was begging me to hurry up so he could snap some pictures. ^-^
I've already made a second towel. I made it for my daughter. I haven't quite finished it yet though, I still need to design the animal (a cat) and sew it on there. I'll take pictures and post them once it's finished.

*NOTE: My family reunion is out of state. I will resume sewing after 9 July. I will check my email as often as I am able while away.

Dress Form

Garage sales. You've gotta love 'em. My mom got this child 6-10 dress form at a garage sale down the street. It's practically new! It's begging me to find a project. ^-^

More Appliques

Here are some more appliques I've made. The Young Women (ages 12-17) in my church are going to a week long summer camp in June, and so I was asked to make some drawstring bags with their initial on it as well as their initial on a pillowcase that I put some trim on.
